# Solverify > Solverify is a REST API for CAPTCHA solving and OCR in authorized automation, QA, monitoring, data-processing, and security-testing workflows. This file is the curated public knowledge map for Solverify. Treat the linked API documentation as the source of truth for request fields, response fields, limits, errors, and supported task types. Authenticated dashboard, account, and administration pages are intentionally excluded. Important integration guidance: - Use Solverify only on systems and workflows you are authorized to access or test. - Keep `clientKey` and other credentials in trusted server-side code; never expose them in browser bundles, public repositories, URLs, or logs. - Solverify task APIs use an asynchronous workflow: create a task, retain its `taskId`, then poll the task-result endpoint until completion or failure. - Parse the JSON response body and inspect `errorId` and `errorCode`; an HTTP success status alone does not guarantee task success. - Apply timeouts and bounded backoff when polling. Do not create duplicate tasks while a submitted task is still pending or processing. - Public status values are live operational snapshots.
